Ofuji Visits Ononogbu, Seeks Elder’s Blessing for Bende Federal Constituency 2027 Bid

Labour Party’s House of Representatives candidate for Bende Federal Constituency in 2027, Dr. Chima Anyaso, popularly known as “Ofuji,” has paid a courtesy visit to one of Abia State’s most respected political leaders, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu.

The visit took place at Dr. Ononogbu’s residence, where the two leaders held what Anyaso described as a “fruitful and insightful discussion” on the future of Bende.

Speaking after the meeting, Dr. Anyaso said the encounter was both inspiring and reassuring.

“Today, I had the honour of paying a courtesy visit to my elder brother and one of the most respected political leaders and stakeholders in Abia State, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, a proud son of Nkpa in Bende Local Government Area,” Anyaso stated.

He disclosed that he used the opportunity to share his plans for the constituency.

“I shared with him my aspiration, my vision, and my plans to provide purposeful, responsible, and people-oriented representation for our people,” he said.

According to Anyaso, Dr. Ononogbu received him warmly and offered guidance drawn from years of political experience.

“Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu listened attentively, offered invaluable words of wisdom, encouragement, and fatherly advice, and concluded by praying for me and wishing me success on this journey,” he added.

The Bende-born politician expressed appreciation for the elder statesman’s support, noting that such mentorship from community leaders is critical ahead of 2027.

“I remain sincerely grateful for his warm reception, wise counsel, and unwavering encouragement. The prayers, support, and guidance of our elders and respected leaders continue to strengthen my resolve to serve Ndi Bende with humility, integrity, and dedication,” Anyaso said.

He further pledged to remain committed to the development of Bende Federal Constituency.

“Together, by the grace of God, we will build a brighter future for our people. The journey continues,” he concluded.

Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu is a prominent PDP stakeholder and former Abia State Chairman of the PDP. The meeting is seen as part of broader consultations by political actors in Bende ahead of the 2027 general elections.
