According to the group, Hon. Ugbor stands out as a credible, God-fearing and people-oriented leader with the capacity, character and grassroots connection to give Abia Central effective representation in the Senate.

The group described Hon. Evangelist Blessing Ugbor as a tested and trusted leader whose track record in community service, empowerment and advocacy for youths and women speaks volumes, adding that Abia Central needs a Senator who will not just occupy the seat but will deliver results.

“After careful assessment of all aspirants for the Abia Central Senatorial seat, we unanimously endorse Hon. Evangelist Blessing Ugbor as our preferred candidate. She is competent, accessible, and committed to the development of Abia Central,” the statement read in part.

The group also used the opportunity to warn Hon. Nkechi Nwogu to stay away from the race, insisting that she is not a member of the NDC.

“Hon. Nkechi Nwogu is not a member of the NDC and therefore has no business contesting under the party. We urge her to respect party discipline and stay away from the race to avoid unnecessary confusion and crisis,” the group warned.

The Abia Central Youths Political Network called on youths, women and stakeholders across the six Local Government Areas of Abia Central to rally behind Hon. Ugbor, pledging to mobilize massively for her emergence and victory in 2027.

“We are calling on all lovers of good governance in Abia Central to join this movement. Hon. Evangelist Blessing Ugbor is our choice, and we will stand by her till victory,” Nwaubani stated.
