As Bende Federal Constituency prepares to choose its next representative, the choice before us is clear. It is between *8 years of the status quo under Benjamin Kalu*, and a *new direction under Dr. Desmond Chima Anyaso* – fondly called “Ofuji”.

Here are 6 reasons why Dr. Anyaso stands out:

1. SOLID BACKGROUND
Dr. Anyaso comes from a distinguished background. From childhood he learned hard work and enterprise. He started making money at an early age and has built investments in hospitality, oil & gas, and real estate. He is a guru in business management. That experience will help him attract investment and manage constituency resources wisely.

2. SINCERITY
Dr. Desmond Chima Anyaso is a leader whose “yes is yes”. He has been working tirelessly even outside office to reduce the suffering of Bende people. Over 60% of communities in Bende LGA still do not enjoy electricity and good water. If he could do so much as a private citizen, imagine what he will do with the mandate of the people.

3. HONESTY AND TRANSPARENCY
A good leader must be honest. With Dr. Anyaso, anything accrued to Bende from the Federal House of Representatives will reach the people. Constituency allowances, project funds, and oversight reports will be transparent. The people will know what comes to Bende and how it is used.

Unlike the current representation, Dr. Anyaso will operate an open door policy. The people will have access to him. He will listen, answer questions, and work with the people to know what they truly need.

The major job of a federal lawmaker is to make laws that better the lives of the people. Dr. Anyaso will sponsor bills that address the suffering of the girl child, nursing mothers, and students dropping out of school. Laws that protect women and expand opportunities for Bende.

Even before now, Dr. Anyaso has invested his personal resources into infrastructure in Bende and beyond. As a member of the House of Representatives, he will do more – attracting federal projects, restoring electricity through the national grid, and bringing development to every community.
