Police Affairs Minister ChargesNew NPA Commandant To Reposition Academy As Centre Of Excellence
The Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, has received the newly appointed Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, AIG Auwal Musa, alongside the outgoing Commandant, DIG Sadiq Abubakar (Rtd).
The meeting focused on strengthening police training, professional development, discipline, leadership and institutional capacity at the Academy.
Senator Gaidam congratulated AIG Auwal Musa on his appointment, expressing confidence in his experience and leadership to further reposition the Nigeria Police Academy as a centre of excellence in policing education.
The Minister assured the new Commandant of the full support and goodwill of the Ministry as he assumes responsibility for advancing the mandate of the Academy and sustaining its reputation.
The Minister also commended DIG Sadiq Abubakar (Rtd) for his contributions to the Academy and to the overall development of policing in Nigeria during his tenure.
Senator Gaidam noted that the Federal Government remains committed to building a well-trained, professional and disciplined Nigeria Police Force that can effectively respond to contemporary security challenges.
The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, is the premier degree-awarding institution for the training of officer cadets of the Nigeria Police Force.
