NPFL: Hon. Chinasa Lauds Abia Warriors, Enyimba

Hon. Anthony Chinasa, popularly known as “Abiola,” has issued a congratulatory message to Enyimba FC and Abia Warriors FC for successfully retaining their topflight status in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). He praised both clubs for their resilience and determination throughout a highly competitive season.The Honourable Member representing Umuahia Central State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, widely celebrated for his advocacy for youth development and community empowerment, took the time to honor the monumental efforts of both teams. Securing topflight status guarantees that Abia State will continue to have a strong, proud representation in the highest echelon of Nigerian club football.

The lawmaker who is the Chairman House Committee On Sports admitted that Enyimba FC and Abia Warriors faced immense pressure during the closing weeks of the 2025/2026 season. Through sheer grit, strategic gameplay, and unwavering support from their passionate fans, they successfully navigated the challenging terrain of the NPFL Table to secure their places for the upcoming campaign.

Hon. Chinasa expressed immense pride in the teams’ ability to weather the storm.In his official statement, he remarked:
“I extend my warmest congratulations to the management, technical crew, and players of both Enyimba FC and Abia Warriors. For maintaining our topflight status in such a fiercely contested league is a testament to your hard work, discipline, and the true spirit of Abia. Abia Warriors finished 7th on the NPFL log while Enyimba FC found themselves in an unfamiliar position by finishing 11th .
