“Home Has Spoken” – Elders, Women And Youths Pray For Chima Anyaso Ahead Of House Of Reps Bid

IGBERE – Labour Party’s House of Representatives hopeful for Bende Federal Constituency in 2027, Dr. Chima Anyaso, popularly known as “Ofuji”, has received the formal adoption, prayers and endorsement of his kindred in Igbere.

The endorsement came on Thursday morning when fathers, elders, women and youths of Umu Oringwo Kindred of Ibina Ukwu, Igbere — the place where Anyaso was born and raised — gathered to bless his political aspiration.

In a statement after the ceremony, Dr. Anyaso described the event as one of the greatest honours of his journey so far.

“This morning, I received one of the greatest honours of my journey so far. My fathers, elders, and the entire Umu Oringwo Kindred of Ibina Ukwu, Igbere—the very place where I was born and raised—came together to formally adopt me, pray for me, and bless this vision,” Anyaso said.

He noted that the backing of his people is the foundation of any political journey.

“There is no greater blessing than receiving the confidence, prayers, and endorsement of your own people. Before any journey begins, home must speak. Today, home has spoken,” he added.

The Bende-born entrepreneur and philanthropist expressed gratitude to the kindred for their unity and love.

“I sincerely thank our revered elders, leaders, women, youths, and every member of the kindred for this overwhelming show of love, unity, and confidence. I do not take this support for granted, and I pray that God honours every prayer offered on my behalf,” he said.

Anyaso described the adoption as the first critical step toward 2027 and pledged to run a campaign anchored on service.

“To me, this is the first and most important step in the right direction for this project. With God leading the way, the support of our people, and a commitment to serve with humility, honesty, and integrity, I am confident that the best is yet to come,” he stated.

He concluded by calling the 2027 project a collective one.

“Bende 2027 is a collective project, and together, by God’s grace, we shall succeed.”

The gathering of Umu Oringwo Kindred is seen as a significant boost for Anyaso’s ambition, signaling strong grassroots backing from his immediate community ahead of party primaries and the general election.
