Abia Line Workers Hail Abia Government Over Plans To Integrate The Parastatal Into The Mainstream

The staff and management of Abia Line Network Company Limited have expressed readiness to undergo all necessary exercises for the parastatal to be integrated into the mainstream of government programmes.

Speaking to newsmen in Umuahia on Monday, some of the workers who pleaded anonymity said the management of the transport company is ready to go along with the proposal of the commissioner for transportation, Chimezie Ukaegbu for their integration into the mainstream.

In what can be described as a yielding and submissive eagerness, the staff of the Abia Line Network expressed their readiness to undergo whatever exercise that is required for the integration process.

The staff hailed the Abia commissioner for transport for his efforts towards integrating the parastatal into the mainstream.

“The staff and management of the Abia Line Network have been yearning for the parastatal to be integrated into the mainstream just like its counterpart parastatals”, one of the said

“It is a good thing for us. We are all happy for this because it will help us. I want to thank the commissioner for transport, he is doing well and God will help him in his efforts”, said another.

Recall that the Honourable Commissioner for transportation, Dr. Issac Chimezie Ukaegbu had in an interview during a radio programme on Family Love 99.9 FM Umuahia, confirmed that the process was ongoing and in due time, they would be integrated.
