Stanley Egege Honours Late Parents In Grand Style

It was an atmosphere of gratitude, spiritual reflection, and philanthropic celebration at Ituahiafor Itungwa in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, as prominent scholar and philanthropist, Stanley Egege, hosted a grand memorial and thanksgiving service in honour of his late parents, Mr. Nathaniel Onyemazuya Egege and Mrs. Victoria Nwada Egege.

The dual memorial service paid tribute to the lasting legacies of the family patriarch, Mr. Nathaniel Egege, who was laid to rest on 27 January 2025, and the matriarch, Mrs. Victoria Egege, who was laid to rest on 7 February 2003.

The event, which took place at the Anglican Church Ituahiafor Itungwa, drew a massive crowd of church faithful, community leaders, and top government officials.
Most notably, the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, led a host of high-profile political and business dignitaries to support the Egege family.

Their presence underscored the profound respect and high standing that Mr. Stanley Egege commands within Abia State and beyond.

The thanksgiving service was officially presided over by the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Aba, Bishop Christian Ugwuzor.

Delivering his sermon, Bishop Ugwuzor praised Mr. Egege for his unwavering faith and continuous support of the church.The Bishop described him as a dedicated child of God who has purposefully chosen to follow the noble footsteps of his late parents. He commended the parents’ historic devotion to the work of God and service to humanity, noting that their legacy blooms beautifully through their son’s actions.
Concluding his message, the Bishop led the congregation in a fervent session of prayer, asking God to grant the entire Egege family their innermost heart desires and to protect their lineage.

The Egege family presented a rich assortment of thanksgiving materials and offerings to the altar as symbols of their gratitude for life and family preservation.

In a landmark act of benevolence, the official cutting of the ribbons took place to mark the grand opening of two newly built bungalow parsonages.The parsonages, fully funded and constructed by Mr Stanley Egege, were formally donated and dedicated to the Anglican Church to provide comfortable housing for priests.

This major philanthropic gesture stood as a testament to the family’s enduring covenant with the gospel, ensuring that the memory of Mr. Nathaniel and Mrs. Victoria Egege remains forever etched in the hearts of the community.
