Sowore Maitains His Stance On “Half Transformation”, Challenges Abia Government To Provide Facts

Human Rights activist, Omoyele Sowore has challenged the Abia State government to come up and challenge him with facts and figures over his comments on the performance of the governor, Alex Otti.

In a new, now viral video, Sowore maintained that what he saw in Abia during his visit to the state was what he termed “mediocrity”, against what is presented in the media.

“When I talk about even Alex Otti, he will never respond because I know them in the individual capacity and when I challenge them, they know that I’m challenging with facts and they then hide behind all kinds of people and places to respond”.

“Let them be man enough. When I accuse you of something, come and say that Sowore lied. When I talked about Otti, when I went to Abia and what I saw was mediocrity, the problem is that, a lot of people have never seen proper standards of governance, you can’t blame them”.

“People who have never seen roads made, not only with just the highway but made, that there will be a portion of vehicles, for bicycles, and there will be a portion for people who want to walk. If you have never been on that kind of a road, you will be excited with the road that is done and halfway the road ends”.

The controversial activist was in Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State to protest for the release of the convicted leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

In an interview that went viral, Sowore had claimed that the performance of the governor, Dr Alex Otti was over rated by the media, he claimed that what he saw in Aba was “half transformation” contrary to what is portrayed in the media.

Reacting to Sowore’s claim, the Director General of the Abia State Strategic Communications Bureau, Onyebuchi Ememanka condemned the statement.

Ememanka described Sowore’s assessment as a “cheap hatchet job” and questioned his credibility, given he spent less than 24 hours in Aba.
