The Rector of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, Engr. Dr. Christopher Kalu Okoro, has said that great institutions are not built in a day, but through vision, dedication, teamwork and the courage to keep moving forward despite challenges.

Dr. Okoro stated this in a message to the Polytechnic community, posted on his Facebook account, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to excellence, talent development and innovation.

According to him, Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic remains committed to creating an institution where excellence is pursued, talents are nurtured, innovation is encouraged, and every member of the Polytechnic community has the opportunity to grow.

The Rector, who quoted the Igbo proverb, “Ọtụtụ aka na-ebuli ite,” meaning many hands lift a pot, stressed that the progress of the institution is a collective responsibility.

He noted that when Management, staff, students and stakeholders work together with a shared sense of purpose, there is no limit to what the institution can achieve.

Dr. Okoro therefore called on all members of the Polytechnic community to continue to support one another, embrace excellence and remain committed to building an institution that future generations will be proud to inherit.

He added that the vision is clear, the purpose is strong, and together, the institution will continue to move forward.
