Ofuji Movement Holds “Morning Tea” Consultation In Amaedukwu, Anyaso Adopted Into Akunesiobike Age Grade
The Ofuji Movement, the support structure for Labour Party House of Representatives candidate, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, held a strategic consultation in Amaedukwu Community on Monday, July 27, 2026, as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The engagement, tagged “Morning Tea”, was coordinated by Akajiugo Okechukwu Ochiobi through his Ka Obodo Di’nma Movement.
It recorded a large turnout of elders, men, women and youths, who gathered less than 48 hours after the Abia State Government delivered a new transformer to the community.
The event was anchored by Comrade Jasper Anyalewechi, an illustrious son of Amaedukwu and member of the Ofuji Movement.
Speakers at the gathering unanimously endorsed Dr. Anyaso’s candidacy and the re-election bid of Governor Alex Otti.
They include:
Uchenna Agoha – President General
Ugochukwu Ndaji – Chairman, Amaedukwu Home Chapter
Mrs. Okwuigbo Amabuike – Chairlady, Women Wing
Chinedu Nwagbara – Youth Chairman
All speakers assured Dr. Anyaso of Amaedukwu’s “block vote” in 2027, citing his philanthropic record and alignment with the governor’s development agenda.
Dr. Anyaso reaffirmed his alliance with the Governor, with the campaign slogan “OTTI NA OFUJI OR NOTHING 2027” prominently displayed on branded materials during the visit.
Chief Chukwuemeka Ochiobi, a longtime associate of Dr. Anyaso, urged support for the Labour Party at both state and federal levels.
Though not a party member, he referenced Governor Otti’s performance and Dr. Anyaso’s contributions to youth empowerment and community development.
Chief Ochiobi also appealed for assistance to complete road opening in Amaedukwu’s new layout, estimating that approximately four days of bulldozer work is required.
The highlight of the visit was Dr. Anyaso’s formal adoption as a son of Amaedukwu.
Mrs. Okwuigbo Amabuike, Chairlady of the Women Wing, announced that he has been inducted into the Akunesiobike Age Grade of the community.
Ezinne Rose Agoha led other titled women in prayers and blessings for their “newest son.”
An appreciative Dr. Anyaso thanked the community for the reception and described the Ka Obodo Di’nma Movement and its convener, Mr. Okey Ochiobi, as a key ally. He commended the “Morning Tea” format as an effective consultation strategy.
“I am pleasantly surprised by this turnout before 8 a.m. I will personally support Chief Ochiobi’s request and will also work to attract government intervention where necessary,” Dr. Anyaso stated.
The visit concluded with the community reaffirming its commitment to the re-election of Dr. Alex Otti and the House of Representatives aspiration of Dr. Chima Anyaso.
Following the community engagement, Chief Emeka Ochiobi hosted the Ofuji Movement delegation to a reception.
