“Governor Otti is the leader we have been praying for over the years”, Prof Okoro

The Rector of Ogbonnaya Ọnụ Polytechnic Aba, Prof Christopher Kalu Okoro says students’ safety is a top priority of the the management of the institution.

Okoro stated this in Aba over the weekend during an inspection tour of the ongoing construction of a pedestrian bridge in front of the school.

While commending the contractors for the quality of the project, appreciated the Executive Governor of the state, Dr Alex Otti for his magnanimity in supporting the project, among other projects in the institution.

“The project is nearing completion as you can see and the quality is top notch, the type you see in more developed countries. I commend the contractors for adhering to the job specifics. Moreso, you cannot talk of this project without thanking the governor, His Excellency Dr Alex Otti who has been very magnanimous in supporting this project and many more inside the school and at the Osisioma campus.”

“For me, the Governor, His Excellency Dr Alex Otti is the leader we all have been praying for in Abia State over the years.”

He however, lauded the students for their obedience to safety guidelines by the school management and the contractors while the construction lasted.

Again, let me also appreciate our students who have obeyed safety guidelines by the school management and the contractors. They have shown commitment. They understood that this is their project.

Then motorists and other road user have been very cooperative with the contractors. If you have been plying this route, you will know the grillock they have faced over the time. I salute their cooperation.

I assure you that in no distant time, the project will be completed and open for public use.
