Igbere, Bende LGA — Something unusual is happening right now at Onyeka Filling Station, Igbere, as a private citizen and self-motivated supporter of Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji) has undertaken a remarkable gesture of solidarity by providing free fuel to commercial motorcycle operators across Bende Federal Constituency.

But beyond the fuel itself lies a much bigger political message.

The most striking dimension of this act is that the young man behind it is not a known associate of Dr. Anyaso. He has neither met Ofuji personally nor sought any any political patronage, recognition or reward from him.

In fact, according to information surrounding the initiative, the anonymous volunteer has deliberately chosen not to reveal his identity to Dr. Anyaso.

His reason?

He simply believes in the Ofuji project and wants to contribute his own little quota towards the emergence of a new kind of representation for Bende Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly come 2027.

In an era where political support is often interpreted through the prism of inducement, patronage and transactional politics, this development presents a different narrative: a supporter voluntarily spending his own resources to promote a political cause he genuinely believes in.

That distinction matters.

The man is not waiting for Ofuji to give him money before supporting Ofuji. He is not seeking a contract. He is not demanding an appointment. He is not positioning himself for personal gain.

He is simply saying, in practical terms:

“I believe in this mandate, and I am willing to sacrifice something of my own to see it succeed.”

That is the deeper meaning behind today’s gesture.

For a political aspiration to mature into a genuine movement, it must eventually transcend the candidate and become owned by ordinary citizens.
