SAPIO Chairman-Elect Calls for Voter Registration and Civic Participation Ahead of 2027 Elections
The Chairman-elect of the South East Political Influence Organization (SAPIO), Sir Maduakolam Kenneth Adighibe, has called on eligible residents across the South East to participate actively in the electoral process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the inauguration of the “Village Boys and Girls” Movement in Owerri, Imo State, he encouraged all eligible citizens to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). He also advised registered voters to transfer their voting centres to locations that are more convenient for them, where necessary.
According to him, grassroots engagement and increased voter participation are essential to strengthening Nigeria’s democratic process. He urged community members to remain actively involved in civic activities and to encourage eligible members of their households to register and participate in future elections.
Sir Maduakolam Kenneth Adighibe also emphasized the importance of massive support for Mr. Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, expressing optimism that people across the South East would unite behind what he described as the “OK” political movement in pursuit of a political rescue mission.
Popularly known in political circles as “Ijere Abia,” Sir Maduakolam Kenneth Adighibe has contested for a seat in the Abia State House of Assembly on three consecutive occasions. He is widely known for advocating politics without bitterness. He assured the people that victory would be achievable if everyone worked together with unity and determination.
The event featured discussions on political participation, community mobilization, and the importance of peaceful and lawful involvement in Nigeria’s democratic process. Speakers also highlighted the need for citizens to make informed decisions during elections and to exercise their constitutional right to vote.
