Democracy thrives when leadership remains accountable to the people. It is built on the principle that public office is a trust, not a personal entitlement. Whenever elected representatives lose touch with the aspirations of their constituents and begin to view public office as a private inheritance, the people have a moral and democratic responsibility to demand change.

As the 2027 general elections approach, the people of Bende Federal Constituency are once again confronted with a defining choice: whether to continue on a path that has yielded disappointment and unfulfilled promises or embrace a new vision anchored on competence, compassion, and purposeful representation.

History has shown that politicians often perform their best during their first term because they seek the confidence of the electorate for a second mandate. Unfortunately, Bende’s experience in recent years has left many citizens disillusioned. Projects initiated with fanfare have been abandoned midway, while many others exist only in announcements, newspaper headlines, social media posts, and television broadcasts. The expectations of the people have too often been met with frustration rather than tangible development.

Today, Ndi Bende are yearning for a representative who understands their struggles, feels their pains, and is committed to translating promises into measurable results. They seek a fresh voice in the Green Chamber—one that will advocate boldly for their interests and pursue development with passion, innovation, and integrity.

It is within this context that the name Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji) continues to resonate across communities in Bende Federal Constituency. Long before seeking elective office, Ofuji built a reputation as a philanthropist, community builder, employer of labour, and a man whose doors remain open to the people. His commitment to grassroots empowerment, youth development, education, and humanitarian interventions has earned him admiration beyond political boundaries.

What distinguishes Ofuji is not merely his popularity but his demonstrated capacity to identify problems and provide solutions. He represents a new generation of leadership that understands that effective representation goes beyond motions and media appearances; it is about delivering opportunities, attracting development, facilitating empowerment, and ensuring that the people’s voices are heard where decisions are made.

Bende deserves a representative with the energy, vision, and determination to pursue projects to completion, attract meaningful federal presence, and restore confidence in democratic representation. The constituency deserves leadership that inspires hope rather than excuses, progress rather than stagnation, and service rather than self-interest.

The argument against any inordinate third-term ambition is therefore not personal; it is fundamentally about the future of Bende. Democracy flourishes when fresh ideas are allowed to emerge and when performance remains the ultimate standard for leadership. The people must carefully evaluate what has been delivered, what remains undone, and what opportunities lie ahead.

For many across the constituency, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso represents that opportunity for renewal. He embodies the hope of a New Bende—a Bende where development is visible, opportunities are accessible, and representation is truly people-centred.

As 2027 draws nearer, the message from many communities is becoming clearer: Bende deserves better, Bende deserves progress, and Bende deserves a representative whose passion for service matches the aspirations of the people.

For those who believe in a brighter future for the constituency, the answer is simple:

Ofuji is the hope for a New Bende.

Ofuji is here to serve.

This is Ofuji’s time.
