Elections Are Rigged Because The People Want It To Be Rigged: Ndi Bende, Our Votes Must Count In 2027

There is a popular saying that elections are rigged because the people allow them to be rigged. The greatest threat to democracy is not the power of those who manipulate the system, but the silence and complacency of the people whose mandate is being stolen.

As we approach the 2027 general elections, the people of Bende Federal Constituency must rise above fear, intimidation, partisan sentiments and the influence of political godfathers. No individual, political party, group, no matter how highly placed, and no amount of federal might should be allowed to subvert the collective will of our people.

The beauty of democracy lies in the sanctity of the ballot. When votes do not count, democracy loses its meaning. Therefore, Ndi Bende must insist that every lawful vote cast in 2027 must count and must be reflected in the final outcome of the election.

The signs are clear: change is imminent in Bende Federal Constituency. Our people yearn for a new era of effective representation, inclusive development, youth empowerment, economic opportunities and purposeful leadership. This aspiration can only be achieved when the electorate freely choose their representative without manipulation or coercion.

It is for this reason that all hands must be on deck to support the emergence of Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji) as the next member representing Bende Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly. His track record of philanthropy, youth development, community support and commitment to the welfare of ordinary people has inspired hope across the constituency.

Bende people deserve the very best. We deserve quality representation, visionary leadership and a representative who understands the challenges and aspirations of the people. Through a free, fair and credible electoral process, we must ensure that the best emerges.

The afflictions of poor representation and political domination must not arise the third time in Bende Federal Constituency. Our future is too important to be mortgaged on the altar of personal ambition and political entitlement.

Let us remain vigilant. Let us defend our votes. Let us protect our democracy. Let us ensure that the voice of the people becomes the mandate of the people.

In 2027, Ndi Bende must speak with one voice through the ballot box.
