Abam Onyerubi Council Celebrates Ogbonnaya Onu Poly Rector Over Education Administrator Award

The Abam Onyerubi Council of Ndi Ezeogo has congratulated the Rector of Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, on his emergence as Education Administrator of the Year at the 8th Leadership Excellence Awards, LEEX 2026.

In a congratulatory message, the Council said it received the news with immense pride, joy and resounding applause.

It described the award as a testament to competence, character and capacity, and a national validation of the transformation the Rector has brought to the Polytechnic since assuming office.

The Council noted that the Rector has restored discipline, enthroned academic excellence, rebuilt institutional confidence, and repositioned the institution as a citadel of technological innovation and entrepreneurship, in line with the Made-in-Aba agenda of the Abia State Government.

“In an era where educational administration is plagued by mediocrity and compromise, you have stood out as a model of visionary leadership, administrative ingenuity, and unwavering integrity. You have made Abam proud. You have made Ndi Ezeogo proud. You have made Abia proud,” the Council stated.

On behalf of traditional rulers, elders and the people of Abam Onyerubi, the Council congratulated the Rector and said the award was richly deserved.

It urged him not to relent but to see the recognition as a spur to greater heights for the benefit of students, the state and the nation.
