Bende Youths Blast Hon. Emmanuel Ndubuisi’s Poor Representation, Urge Bende South Constituents To Reclaim Constituency With 2027 Ballots

The Bende Youths Frontier, BYF, has issued a scathing criticism of Hon. Emmanuel Ndubuisi, the member representing Bende South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, accusing him of “abysmal, silent and ineffective representation” since assuming office over seven years ago.

In a strongly worded statement released on Friday, August 14, 2026, the group said Bende South has been left behind in terms of infrastructure, youth empowerment, education support and legislative visibility, despite the huge expectations from constituents.

BYF alleged that three years into the 8th Assembly, the constituency has no tangible legislative footprint, no visible constituency projects, and no consistent engagement with the people.

“Hon. Emmanuel Ndubuisi has failed to justify the mandate given to him by Bende South. Our constituency has become an orphan in the Abia State House of Assembly. No motions, no bills, no robust debates, no dividends of democracy,” the statement read.

The group accused the lawmaker of being inaccessible to constituents, saying town hall meetings, empowerment programs and legislative briefings that are common in other constituencies are absent in Bende South.

“While other members are attracting projects and speaking for their people, Bende South is sleeping. Our roads are bad, our schools are begging for attention, our youths are idle, and our representative is missing in action,” BYF stated.

The Bende youths called on constituents to begin early mobilization and reject what they termed “recycled mediocrity.”

“We are calling on all sons and daughters of Bende South, home and abroad, to rise. 2027 is not far. It is the time to take back our constituency with our Permanent Voter Cards. We must vote for competence, visibility, and service, not for silence and political tourism,” the group said.

BYF said it will embark on a constituency-wide sensitization tour to educate voters on the need to demand accountability and to screen credible candidates ahead of the next elections.

“No more business as usual. The era where people are elected and disappear for four years must end in Bende South. Our votes must count, and our mandate must work for us,” the statement added.

The group challenged Hon. Ndubuisi to, within 14 days, publish a stewardship report detailing bills sponsored, motions moved, constituency projects attracted, and empowerment programs delivered since 2023.

“If there is nothing to show, then let him honorably accept that he has failed and allow Bende South to make a fresh choice in 2027,” BYF concluded.

As of press time, efforts to reach Hon. Emmanuel Ndubuisi for a reaction were unsuccessful.
