2027: Abam Onyerubi Traditional Rulers Endorse Gov. Otti For Second Term, Pledge Total Support

The Ndi Ezeogo of Abam Onyerubi have declared total support for Governor Alex Otti, describing his administration as one that has restored hope and delivered unprecedented development across Abia State.

In a statement signed by the royal fathers, the Abam clan pledged to mobilize massively for the governor’s second-term bid in 2027, citing his people-centred policies and landmark projects.

The traditional rulers commended Governor Otti, whom they addressed as “Chioma Ndi Abia”, for landmark interventions in Abam and across the state.

They listed the iconic Omenuko Bridge, the reconstructed Abam–Arochukwu Road, ongoing road rehabilitation, improved healthcare, quality education, enhanced security, and rural development as clear evidence of a government committed to the welfare of the people.

The Ezeogos also expressed delight over the cordial relationship between the governor and prominent Abam sons including Chief James Chijoke Ume, Ike Abam, and the Majority Leader of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Uchenna Okoro, who represents Arochukwu State Constituency.

They particularly praised the governor for carrying Abam along in appointments, with special mention of the historic appointment of Engr. Christopher Kalu “The Star Boy” as Rector of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic — the first son of Abam to head a tertiary institution in the state.

“This singular gesture has brought immense pride to our people and further underscores your commitment to merit, equity, and inclusiveness,” the statement read.

In recognition of what they described as outstanding achievements, the Ndi Ezeogo of Abam Onyerubi said they have unanimously endorsed Gov. Otti for a second term.

“We pledge our unalloyed loyalty, unwavering support, and commitment to mobilising the entire Abam Clan to ensure your overwhelming victory at the polls,” the royal fathers stated.

They expressed conviction that the continuity of the Otti administration would usher in greater progress, accelerated development, and lasting prosperity for Abia State.

“Your Excellency, be assured that Abam has got your back covered. May Almighty God continue to grant you the wisdom, strength, sound health, and divine guidance to sustain your transformational leadership for the benefit of all Abians”, the statement concluded.
