The first day of the Teachers Training Programme on Collaborative Learning, sponsored by Dr. Adanna Anyaso, wife of Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, ended on a highly inspiring note as participants demonstrated enthusiasm, active engagement, and a deep commitment to personal and professional growth.

The impactful programme, which attracted teachers from different parts of Bende Federal Constituency and beyond, created an atmosphere of learning, interaction, and transformation as educators embraced the opportunity to learn and relearn modern approaches to teaching and collaborative learning.

Throughout the sessions, participants displayed eagerness to improve their mindset as educators, acknowledging that the knowledge and skills acquired from the training would not only benefit them personally but would also positively influence the countless students they mentor across various schools in Bende.

Observers described the initiative as a timely and strategic investment in the future of education, noting that quality teaching remains one of the strongest foundations for building a progressive society. The programme was widely praised for going beyond ordinary professional development by empowering teachers with practical and transformational learning experiences capable of shaping future generations.

One of the emotional highlights of the day came during the final session when a women’s group known as “We Care” expressed heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Mrs Adanna Anyaso for supporting and championing such a transformative programme. According to the group, the initiative represents a meaningful effort toward creating lasting change that can transcend generations through quality education and enlightened teaching.

In a further demonstration of gratitude and support, the group also presented a gift to the lead instructor, Mrs. Carol Barlow, in recognition of her dedication, commitment, and invaluable contributions toward the success of the training programme.

Participants at the event expressed optimism that the knowledge gained from the programme would significantly improve classroom engagement, collaboration, and learning outcomes among students, while also strengthening the overall standard of education within the constituency.

The training programme is expected to continue with more engaging sessions aimed at equipping teachers with innovative strategies for effective teaching and collaborative learning.
