Danny Ubani Applauds Governor Otti, Charges New LP Exco To Build Party

A Labour Party Chieftain in Abia State, Hon Danny Ubani has lauded the Abia State Governor, Ale Otti and the Labour Party over the successful conduct of the National Elective Convention of the party held in Umuahia, the Abia State capital on Tuesday.

Speaking to Dreamnews in an exclusive interview, the popular politician posited that with the conduct of the national convention, the Labour Party has returned to winning ways.

Hon. Ubani, popularly called ‘Manja’ congratulated the newly elected National Working Committee of the party, led by Senator Nenadi Usman on their election.

Hon. Ubani urged the new leadership of the party to build on their achievements in steering the party out of the leadership crises that shook the party to its very foundation and move the party to national dominance.

“First, I want to commend the Executive Governor of Abia State Dr Alex Otti for remaining resolute through the turbulent period and ensured that the party is placed on a solid ground”.

“By this convention, the Labour Party has returned to winning ways. The party performed very well in the last election, and with what happened here today, we are going to do more.”

“I also want to congratulate the new National Working Committee, led by Senator Nenadi Usman, our new national Secretary, Hon. Acho Obioma and the other members of the national Exco, about thirty four of them”.

“Senator Nenadi Usman worked very hard during the troubling times. Today, we didn’t just conducted the national elective conversation, we are celebrating victory.”

“My charge is that they build on the achievements so far and make the party have national dominance”.

“I also call on party members to give them maximum support to succeed.”

His comment is coming against the backdrop of the Appel Court judgement which reaffirmed the Senator Nenadi Usman led National leadership of the party.

The national elective conversation on Tuesday produced Senator Nenadi Usman as the substantive National Chairman, Hon. Acho Obioma as the national Secretary. Hilda Dokubor became the national Women Leader, Oluchi Okwara was elected as the national Organizing Secretary.
