Abia Deputy Speaker Reaffirms Commitment to Improving Livelihoods

The Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Austine Mmeregini has reaffirmed his commitment to policies and actions that improve living standards and support sustainable growth across our communities in Abia State.

Mmeregini who represents Umuahia East State Constituency stated this on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) Housing Estate in Umuahia.

“As Deputy Speaker, I stand committed to policies and actions that improve living standards and support sustainable growth across Abia communities”.

According to the lawmaker who is popularly known as ‘Ugolee’, the project marks a clear step toward addressing housing deficit and expanding urban development in Abia State.

He noted that the initiative shows a working partnership between the Federal Housing Authority and the state government, with real measurable impact on the people.
