Prof Okoro Bags Another Honour, Pledges More Service To God And Humanity

The Rector of Ogbonnaya Ọnụ Polytechnic Aba, Prof Christopher Kalu Okoro has added another feather to his cap.

On Sunday, April 19, 2026, Prof Okoro was ordained an elder in the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria World Bank Housing Estate Umuahia Abia State.

Speaking at the event, the Minister in charge of the church, Rt Rev. Anthony Okoro Ufere called on the Christian faithful to make personal sacrifices in their service to God and humanity.

While urging the new elders to live by example, the cleric called for prayers for Nigeria in the face of economic crunch.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Prof. Okoro thanked the church for the honour, dedicating it to God.

He said the milestone couldn’t have been attained if not for the grace of God. He promised to live up to expectations as a new functionary of the church.

The newly ordained elders pledged to rededicate their lives to the work of God and humanity, while appreciating the church for finding them worthy of the new position.
