Abia Inaugurates Ntalakwu Vigilante Group To Strengthen Community Security In Ikwuano

The Commander General of Abia State Homeland Security Watch has inaugurated the Ntalakwu Vigilante Group at Ntalakwu Village Square, Oboro, Ikwuano Local Government Area, as part of efforts to strengthen community security, vigilance, and peaceful coexistence.

The inauguration ceremony was led by the Commander General, accompanied by the Director of Operations (DOPS) and the Director of Logistics (DL).

Also present were the Area Commander, Abia Central, Abia State Homeland Security Watch and the Ikwuano Commander, Abia State Homeland Security Watch.

Officials of the Nigeria Police Force were also in attendance, highlighting the importance of inter-agency collaboration in promoting peace, safety and security within the community.

The newly inaugurated members were charged to discharge their responsibilities with discipline, integrity, professionalism, and respect for the law.

They were encouraged to work closely with relevant security authorities and contribute meaningfully to the protection of lives and property in the community.

The leadership commended the people of Ntalakwu for their commitment to supporting community security initiatives and expressed confidence that the new group would uphold the principles of responsible and effective community security.

The inauguration forms part of the Abia State Government’s ongoing strategy to deepen grassroots security across the state.
