Abia At 35: Bende Now Benefiting From New Abia – Chima Anyaso Hails Otti’s Development Strides

The Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has congratulated Governor Alex Otti and Abians on the 35th anniversary of the creation of Abia State, describing the state as now emerging as one of the leading states in Nigeria.

In a goodwill message on Thursday, Anyaso said Abia at 35 has witnessed a renewed sense of purpose under the Otti administration, with massive infrastructure and urban renewal projects changing the narrative about the state.

He said the last three years and three months have brought visible transformation across Abia, restoring confidence among residents and positioning the state to compete favourably with other states.

“Abia at 35 is a celebration of our journey, our resilience and our future. We have witnessed remarkable projects across the state under Governor Otti. It shows Abia has the potential to become one of the leading states in Nigeria,” he said.

Anyaso particularly lauded the Governor for extending development to Bende Local Government Area, noting that completed and ongoing road projects and other interventions have brought relief to several communities.

He said the impact is evident in easier movement of people and goods and improved economic activities, stressing that development must not be concentrated in the state capital alone.

The LP chieftain added that the performance of the administration has strengthened the party’s base in Bende ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that the Labour Party will secure victory in all elective positions in the area.

“The people of Bende are watching and can distinguish between promises and actual development. We will continue to engage our people and present our message of accountable leadership,” he stated.

Anyaso urged Abians at home and in the diaspora to remain committed to the progress of the state, wishing the government and people of Abia a memorable anniversary celebration.
