Rector’s Wife Donates Food, Gift Items to Less Privileged Homes in Aba, Umuahia
ABIA– The wife of the Rector of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, Mrs. Geraldine Okoro, has donated food and gift items to selected less privileged homes in Aba and Umuahia.
The outreach, held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, was aimed at encouraging beneficiaries and the public to imbibe a culture of giving.

Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Okoro said, “This is more than charity. It is a call for all of us to remember those who have less and to make giving a lifestyle, not just an event.”
Items distributed included foodstuffs, toiletries, clothing, and other essentials.
Reacting, one of the beneficiaries, the proprietor of Agape Love Charity Home, Jacqueline Okonkwo, thanked Mrs. Okoro for the gesture.
“We are grateful for this kindness. It will go a long way in meeting our needs and lifting the spirits of our residents,” she said.
The beneficiaries in both Aba and Umuahia expressed appreciation and prayed for more support from well-meaning individuals.
