The Abia Patriots Commend Governor Otti’s Compassionate Leadership

The Abia Patriots (TAP), have commended Governor Alex Otti of Abia State for what they described as his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the Abia workforce.

The group gave the commendation on Thursday in a press release signed by the Secretary General of the group and made available to newsmen in Umuahia.

“The recent directive by Governor Otti to implement interventionist welfare packages for the Abia workforce is evidence of his love and compassion for the workers who toil tirelessly to drive the state’s progress. The payment of a 13th-month salary bonus, a tradition he has maintained since 2023, is a welcome relief to our hardworking civil servants as they prepare for the festive season.”

The group also applauded the governor for the early disbursement of December salaries to Abia workers which they described as a gesture that speaks volumes about his leadership’s prioritization of the people’s needs.

“We applaud Governor Otti’s prompt action in processing December salaries ahead of schedule, allowing workers to celebrate Christmas and New Year without financial stress. This gesture speaks volumes about his leadership’s prioritization of the people’s needs.”

“Furthermore, the review of the state’s salary structure to address anomalies and the implementation of the ₦70,000 national minimum wage demonstrates Governor Otti’s dedication to ensuring fair compensation for Abia workers. The approval of a monthly stipend for traditional rulers and a Christmas package is a thoughtful touch, recognizing their contributions to our society.”
