Sir Emmanuel Otti Adds Another Feather To His Cap

Tuesday, December 23, 2025 will be written in gold on the pages of history.

It was the day, the trail blazing Chairman of the Labour Party in Abia State, Hon. sir Emmanuel Nwaeze Otti bagged a traditional title of “Enyi Ọha Gburugburu” (Friend of all) confirmed on him by the Traditional Ruler of Eziama Ubakala in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State, His Royal Highness, Eze Gabriel Udo.

This development comes as Chief Sir Emmanuel Otti continues to lead the Labour Party in Abia State, having been inaugurated as the acting Chairman, following the elevation of the former Chairman to the position of National Vice Chairman, South East.

The title, which translates to “A friend of all” is a significant honour in Abia State, reflecting the esteem in which Chief Emmanuel Otti is held by the community. As Enyioha Gburugburu, Chief Otti is expected to continue serving the people of Abia State, leveraging his new title to foster unity and development.

Chief Emmanuel Otti’s leadership of the Labour Party in Abia State has been marked by efforts to strengthen the party and promote good governance.

One of the remarkable moves of Hon. Chief Sir Emmanuel Otti to unite the party and forge a new front was the local government tour of the party which is an uncommon adventure. The tour afforded the State Working Committee, SWC, of the party to familiarize with party members and supporters for a stronger working synergy.

His appointment as acting Chairman was welcomed by Governor Alex Otti, who expressed confidence in his ability to lead the party with integrity and fairness

Chief Emmanuel Otti, has outlined a vision for the party that focuses on transformative governance, economic resilience, and social advancement. His vision is aligned with Governor Alex Otti’s 25-Year Development Plan, which aims to position Abia State as a hub for innovation, prosperity, and sustainable development by 2050.

The conferment of the title, Enyioha Gburugburu witnessed a huge crowd who came to cheer the chairman of the ruling party in Abia State.

Many dignitaries, including government officials, captains of industries, politicians, the clergy, traditional rulers, LP faithful, the media, among others.
