In Howard Cutler’s book “The Art of Happiness In A Troubled World” Famous Tibetan Buddhist leader, Delai Lama Is credited with this quote “The creation of a more peaceful and happier society has to begin from the level of the individual, and expand to one’s family, to one’s neighbourhood, to one’s” community and so on”.

Owelle Greg Okafor is a prominent Aba based business magnate, he is well known not only for his business acumen but also for his significant contributions to the development of the society through philanthropy and entrepreneurial support. His efforts have sparked discussions on the role of private individuals in driving socio-economic development in Abia State.

Owelle Okafor, an indigene of Anambra State is a major stakeholder in the hospitality industry as his hotel Ibiza Hotels and Resort Aba is ranked among the best hotel facilities in South East Nigeria. He is also the CEO of Oris group owners of Oris Club Aba and so many business empires.

Owelle Okafor a graduate of Abia State Polytechnic Aba (Now Dr Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic Aba)is a major employer of labour with over three thousands workers under his payroll.

Despite some malicious criticisms from some unscrupulous detractors in the polity, Owelle Greg Okafor is still very much poised to continue to contribute his quota to the development of the society.
