Ogbonnaya Ọnụ Polytechnic Makes Retraining Of Staff, Compulsory
The Rector of Ogbonnaya Ọnụ Polytechnic Aba, Dr Christopher Kalu Okoro said training and retraining of staff has been made compulsory in the institution to achieve more academic excellence.
Dr Okoro stated this in a radio interview on Monday, monitored by Dreamnews. He said the institution understood the importance of training, hence it has become a norm for the staff to under retraining every two months.
He said, “The issue of training and retraining of staff, it is compulsory in the institution and our staff undergo good training. As I said today, even two weeks ago, there was a training of staff in the issue of research writing and the rest of them. So we do training almost every two months on campus.”
His comment came while reacting to a question posed by a caller, during the programme which was interactive.
