Obingwa Declares For Otti, LP

The people of Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, South East Nigeria have declared their support for the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Their position was made known on Tuesday when the State Working Committee (SWC), of the ruling Labour Party in the state led by the Chairman, Sir Emmanuel Nwaeze Otti paid a working visit to the area.

In his address, the state chairman of the party, Sir Emmanuel Otti, expressed his satisfaction with the level of support and commitment shown by party members in Obingwa LGA. He emphasized the need for unity and cooperation among members in order to achieve the party’s goals and objectives.

Sir Otti reemphasized the need for the party members to drive the campaign for people to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in order to obtain their Permanent Voters’ Card PVC for the upcoming elections.

He urged the party leaders and stakeholders to up their games and push for massive registration of all eligible voters to participate in the exercise.

“I think we should come up with a strategy to ensure that many eligible persons register. Exco and stakeholders should please put on their best and urge the people to get registered in on – going INEC registration.”

The SWC also took the opportunity to meet with the Obingwa LGA Mayor Comr. Maxwell C Nwadike and other prominent leaders in the local government area, where they reiterated the party’s commitment to good governance and the welfare of the people.

Speaking, Special Advise to the Governor on public Affairs Dr. Ebere Uzoukwa while extolling the performance of Governor Alex Otti, assured the mammoth crowd of more projects to be cited in the area. He charged the people not to rest on their oars as the government is poised to deliverore democracy dividends, pointing out what the present administration in the state has achieved within a very short time in office.

“We are proud to have Dr Alex Chioma Otti as our leader, and we have resolved to give him our unwavering support in his second term as bid.”

On his part, the Mayor of Obingwa Local Government Area, Comrade Maxwell Nwadike assured the State Working Committee SWC of the party of their unalloyed support for the Governor Otti led government in Abia State.

He vehemently declared that Obingwa has since aligned with the ruling party. He maintained that the party in the local government is peaceful and ready to do more to ensure victory for the party and the governor.

According to him, the SWC’s visit to Obingwa LGA was a clear indication that the party is gaining significant ground and support in the state. He pledged to lead the campaign for the continuous voter registration in the council.

Other party leaders expressed their gratitude to the party leadership members and supporters for their unwavering commitment and pledged to continue working towards the overall success of the party in the state.

The visit was capped off with a rally where the party’s manifesto and vision for Abia state was presented to the people. The rally saw many new members joining the party and showing their support for the Labour Party.
