“Governor Otti’s Endorsement Is Not Built On Sentiment” — Chief Iheanyi Chinasa
The Abia State Chief Liaison Officer at the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Iheanyi Chinasa has thrown his weight behind the endorsement of the Governor, Dr Alex Otti for a second tenure by the Old Bende Progressive Union over the weekend.
In a statement he personally signed, Chief Chinasa described the move as a clear, deliberate demonstration of trust in the leadership of Dr. Alex Otti.
“The gathering was beyond a ceremonial welcome. It was a clear, deliberate demonstration of trust in the leadership of Dr. Otti. The people of Old Bende have chosen to acknowledge excellence, integrity, and results-driven governance. In less than two years.”
Recall that the Old Bende Progressive Union organized a reception in honour at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.

In his address at the event, the President General of Old Bende Progressive Union, DIG Uda (rtd) announced that the people from the bloc have adopted Dr Alex Otti for a second term in office.
The bloc, comprising, Arochuchukwu, Bende, Edda, Isuikwuato, Ohafia, Umunneochi, Umuahia North and South, hinged their adoption of Governor Otti on the performance of his administration so far in Office.
Reacting, Chief Iheanyi Chinasa said the adoption was not built on sentiment but on substance, in recognition of performance, transparency, and a governance model that placed the welfare of the people at its core.
“Our endorsement is, therefore, not built on sentiment, but on substance. It is a recognition of performance, transparency, and a governance model that places the welfare of the people at its core.”
He therefore called on Abians and residents to remain supportive of the Dr Alex Otti led government for more dividends of democracy.
“As the Abia State Chief Liaison Officer, FCT, I proudly align with the voice of my people. I echo their faith in the leadership of Dr. Alex Otti and call on all Abians to remain supportive, united, and focused on the journey of rebuilding our state.”
“Old Bende have spoken with one voice—clear, confident, and resolute. Abia is on the path of renewal, and together, we must sustain this progress.”
