FAKE NEWS: SENATOR T. A. ORJI HAS NOT JOINED LABOUR PARTY

The former Governor of Abia State, Senator Theodore Ahamefule Orji (Ochendo) has debunked a social media report suggesting he resigned his membership of the PDP and joined the Labour Party.

Spokesperson of the Former Senator who represented Abia Central Senatorial District, Hon. Ifeanyi Umere who spoke to Dreamnews on the phone said the report is false and misleading.

According to him, the two time governor of Abia State only left the Peoples Democratic Party and never announced his next political destination.

He enjoined the public to disregard the report, describing it as “fake news”.

The news of Senator Theodore Ahamefule Orji’s resignation of the major opposition part, PDP was first reported on Saturday, November 15, 2025 through a letter addressed to the chairman of his Ward, (Ward 1), Umuahia North Council Area of Abia State.

Speaking further, Honourable Ifeanyi Umere expressed surprise that in less than 24 hours of the news, mischief makers already went into action with fake news.
