The Abia State Chief Liaison Officer at the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Iheanyi Chinasa has called on good spirited individuals to use the yuletide period to extend love and compassion to the less privileged in the society.

Chief Chinasa made the call on Friday at the Federal Medical Center Umuahia during an outreach by the Dogo Foundation where food items and other materials were given to patients, especially children, in the spirit of the yuletide season.

Speaking to newsmen, through the Supervisory Councilor for Finance in Bende Local Government Area, Mr Ebenezer Chukwuemeka Kalu who coordinated the visits, Chief Chinasa said the foundation had visited Agape Charity Home, Ubakala in Umuahia South, adding that other destitute homes within the state would receive a similar gesture in the coming days.

According to him, the foundation had visited over 20 schools in Bende Local Government Area with plans in the pipeline to visit more school, as it aims to contribute to enthrone quality, free and compulsory education in Bende Federal Constituency.

He dismissed the insinuation that the outreach has a political coloration, saying such perceptions should be jettisoned, pointing out that Nigerians, especially Abians in diaspora would attest to his philantropy which he said dates back to 2005.

The Labour Party Chieftain enjoined other well meaning Abians to support the Executive Governor of Abia State Dr Alex Otti in making life better for all and sundry.
