CMK Earmarks N10 Million For Charity in 2026
As part of its core mandate and corporate social responsibility, the Concerned Men Klub, CMK, is poised to touch as many lives as possible in the coming year.
The leader of the Klub, Dr Ikenna Ukabuiro disclosed this in his address at the End of Year event of the Klub held in Umuahia.
According to him, the Klub has earmarked N10 million for their humanitarian services ranging from education to healthcare among others. It plans to roll out scholarships, skills acquisition, career guidance and mentorship.
“In education, we plan to setup a tutorial and mentorship program that
comprises life skills, career guidance and quiz competition across the state.
Setup a sustainable scholarship program for the less privileged backgrounds.”
He revealed that the Concerned Men Klub intend to organize health workshops, distribute various health kits and pay varying degrees of bills for indigent persons.
“In health, we plan to organize health education workshops,
distribution of various health kits and payments of various degrees of bills
for selected patients.”
Earlier, Dr Ukabuiro reflected on the milestones reached by the Klub in the outgoing year, which is grouped into internal charity structure and the external charity structure.
“This past year has been very remarkable for us as a club. Especially in the
area of bonding together, mutual respect to each other and extension of
hands of charity to the less privileged, which actually defines the identity of
this great club and upon which the club’s ideology is predicated.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, this club believes solely in “Service-to-humanity”.
Our humanitarian services within the year under review cuts across two
foundational charity flowcharts. The first is the internal charity structure
while the second is the external charity structure.”
On the internal charity structure, the Klub was able to assist two of their members who were in need to the financial tune of N5M.
Commenting on the external structure, in, June this year, the CMK took a humanitarian step to Enugu, to visit a randomly selected widow. Many household items, food stocks and handsome cash gifts of about N1.2M were given to that family.
He appreciated the members for their contributions in the outgoing year, while encouraging them to focus on the belief of the Klub which is “Service To Humanity”.
“As we meditate on our numerous achievements, let us also look forward to
the enormous task and opportunities that lie ahead. Because as a club, we
have an ambitious plan for the coming year.”
Finally, let me take this moment to express my gratitude to all.
