Chief Ikoh Call for More Support For Security Agencies

An APC Chieftain, Chief Henry Ikoh has called on security agencies in the country, especially the military to intensify efforts in battling banditry, kidnapping, and other acts of terrorism in the country.

Chief Ikoh made the call in a telephone chat with Dreamnews. His comment is in reaction to what appeared to be a rise in rhe loss of lives by non state actors.

According to him, the spate of killing on the country calls for improved surveillance, intelligence and decisive approach.

“It appears to be an increase in the spate of killing in Nigeria. Recently, the bandit and the Boko Haram insurgents.”

“The military at this time should intensify their efforts in combating these enemies. We cannot continue to loose lives of Nigerians on daily basis. Our security agency must rise up and face these non-state actors.”

The former Minister for Science and Technology commiserated with the Nigerian government, the military and the family of the slain Brigadier General Musa Uba.

He posited that the Nigerian military at this time requires the support of the government and Nigerians to boost their morale in the face of a worsening security situation.

News of the abduction of Brigadier General Uba filtered in over the weekend that troops of the Nigerian Army were ambushed by the insurgency.

According to reports, the attack occurred in Damboa local government area of southern Borno State.
