Atiku, El-Rufai Float New Party

The opposition coalition led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El’rufai has written the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to register a new political party, All Democratic Alliance, ADA.

The formation of ADA, is backed by some other key political heavyweights, including former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, former Senate president, David Mark and Umar Ardo, convener of the League of Northern Democrats and former aide to President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The coalition is seeking to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027.

Recall that the opposition coalition sometime ago hinted on using the African Democratic Congress as the vehicle for 2027, but it seems that is not going to be as they have formed a new political party.
