APGA SUSPENDS SENATOR ABARIBE INDEFINITELY

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Abia State has suspended the senator representing Abia South Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe indefinitely, Dream News reports.

His suspension was approved by the State Executive Committee of the party at a meeting held at the party’s headquarters in Umuahia, Abia State on Friday, September 26, 2025.

The suspension letter which was signed by the Secretary of the party in Abia State, Pastor Peter Nduka accused the lawmaker of anti party activities which according to them have brought the party to public ridicule.

According to the letter, the suspension is indefinite with immediate effect, pending the determination of the matter by the disciplinary committee.

“That you have been suspended indefinitely from APGA with immediate effect for anti party activities, an action which has exposed the party to public ridicule.”

“That your suspension shall stand pending the hearing and determination of your case by a Displinary Committee, to be set up by the party.”

Recall that the party had earlier issued a 24 hour ultimatum to the senator to explain his alleged involvement with the coalition African Democratic Congress, ADC.

The SEC held an emergency meeting following the expiration of the 24 hour deadline where the decision was taken to suspend the senator who is the only senator elected on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
