Abia Police Command Begins Vehicle Tinted Permit Enforcement

The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa said the police will commence the enforcement of the vehicle tinted permit policy in the state from Thursday, October 2, 2025.

CP Isa said the police enforcement team would be on ground to ensure smooth operation of the exercise, in line with existing Federal laws and directives, following extensive public enlightenment through various media platforms, and extensions of enforcement period to allow members of the public ample time to obtain their tinted glass permits.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the state, DSP Maureen Chinaka said the Police boss gave the directive at a briefing for the officers and men of the force.

According to the release, CP Danladi Isa, in his briefing, directed officers to remain professional, respect the rights of members of the public, and desist from exploiting the exercise for extortion.
