ABIA PDP HAS CLOSED SHOP, UDE OKO CHUKWU DECLARES
Former Deputy Governor of Abia State, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu on Saturday emphatically said the the main opposition party,v the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has closed shop in Abia State.
Ude Oko Chukwu stated this at his Etitiama Nkporo home town in Ohafia Local Government Area during a ceremony to officially welcome him into the Labour Party.

“Let me remind you, Abia PDP has closed shop.”
The former Speaker who repeated the statement in his home while welcoming the state governor, Dr Alex Otti, his Deputy Engnr Ikechukwu Emetu among others who came to welcome him to the party said he joined the party because of what the governor has done in the state in just two years of his administration.

Speaking to the mammoth crowd that came to welcome him into the Labour Party family, the former number two citizen of the state said he would ensure victory for the LP, come 2027, declaring that there would be no vacancy in the government house of Abia State.
“Whether you like my face or not, one thing you cannot take away from me is that I have been around. I know all the corners of this state and I know the politics of Abia State. In 2027, we will do the political work and I tell you, Your Excellency, there’s no vacancy in 2027.”

While he appreciated the governor for touching every corner of the state, acknowledged that going to his house in Nkporo was his greatest political challenge over the years due to the poor condition of the road. He thanked the governor for the reconstruction of the Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Ohafia road which he said has eased his movement to and fro Nkporo.
