Abia LP Honours A Fallen Hero

Tuesday August 5, 2025 saw the entire Labour Party family in Abia State come out in their numbers to pay last respect to Late Mazi Sunday O Aliche, uncle to the state Labour Party Chairman, Sir Emmanuel Otti, who was laid to rest in his home town, Arochuchukwu.

The Arochukwu LGA Chairman welcomed the August visitors and commended the legacy papa left behind. He also commended the dedication and commitment of the state party chairman, Sir Emmanuel Otti.

Speaking at the funeral, the state vice Chairman of the party, Mazi Ijoma Okey Moses who led the delegation of the delegation of the party extolled the virtues of the deceased, describing his demise as a huge loss to his family and the state at large.

Mazi Ijoma Okey moses thanked God for the life of a great man like Mazi Sunday and prayed for God’s comfort and strength for his family during this difficult time.

The delegation made a brief stop at the construction site of the popular Omenuko bridge and road construction at Abam.

Mazi Okey Moses, Praised Governor Dr. Alex Otti for his legacy projects, which underscores the positive impact of his leadership.

According to him, the 32.5 km Ozu Abam – Ndioji – Ndi Okereke road has made travel to Arochukwu easier, improving connectivity, fostering economic growth, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.

“Such developments reflect a strong commitment to infrastructure and regional development in Abia State”, he said.

The state Chairman of the party, Sir Emmanuel Otti in his vote of thanks, appreciated the state Exco members of the Labour Party for honoring his late uncle, Mazi Aliche, describing it as a strong bond and camaraderie that exists among the party members.
