Abia Government Suspends Security Personnel Recruitment, Cites Technical Adjustments

The Abia State Universal Basic Education Board, ASUBEB, has announced suspension of the earlier announced recruitment of security personnel for primary and junior secondary schools in the state.

A release endorsed by the Secretary of the Board, Dr Uzoamaka Amah-Mbah on behalf of the Chairman, obtained by Dream News said the postponement was due to technical and administrative adjustments.

The release further regretted any inconveniences this postponement may have caused the public, applicants and stakeholders while assuring that an updated guidelines would be announced as soon as the issues were resolved.

“We apologize for any inconvenience and assure applicants and stakeholders that an updated guidelines will be communicated once the issues are resolved.”

Dream News recalls that the state government through the board had earlier announced recruitment of security personnel for primary and junior secondary schools in the state to protect the facilities and equipment, especially for the upcoming smart schools.
