A Board of Trustees member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prince Benjamin Apugo has berated the Deputy Speaker of the House Representatives Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu over his inability to attract the presence of the federal government for the reconstruction of the Umuahia-Bende-Abam road in Abia State.

Prince Apugo in an interview with The Sun posited that the Deputy Speaker is trying to bring himself to nullity because according to him, he (Benjamin Kalu) “has not done anything.”

He was reacting to the statement of the Deputy Speaker that the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti has not done enough, compared to the huge federal allocation for the state.

Prince Apugo questioned why the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu would be parading himself as a powerful political leader when he could not convince the Minister for Works, Sen. Dave Umahi to reconstruct the Umuahia-Bende-Abam road, adding that nobody should take the Deputy Speaker seriously.

He said, “The Deputy Speaker is trying to bring himself to complete nullity because he has not done anything. This is Bende Road, he’s from Bende, has he been able to convince Umahi to do the road?”

“He cannot do that, nobody takes him seriously. He is not a serious person”, he added.

The Abia APC Chieftain emphasized that he has the same qualification in the party as President Bola Tinubu, except that the later is the president.
