2027: Otti Plots Victory for Otti

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Labour Party in Abia is leaving now stone unturned to ensure landslide victory at the polls, hence the charge for members to go back to their various local governments and wards to spread the word and bring more people into the LP family.

The state Chairman of the party, Sir Emmanuel Otti gave the charge on Thursday June 26, 2026 during the State Working Committee, SWC, meeting held in Umuahia.

The meeting which took place at Eastern Comfort Hotels Umuahia due to the retrofitting work going on at the party’s state secretariat has in attendance, chairmen of the party at the local government level, their secretaries, youth and women leaders.

Speaking at the meeting, Sir Otti enjoined the members of the State Working Committee (SWC) to rededicate themselves and ensure harmony among their executive members and other party members.

He further tasked them to work in synergy with the governor’s support group, Abia Arise at all levels, saying that the aim is to ensure victory for Dr Alex Otti, the state governor and the party in 2027.

The SWC used the forum to fill two vacant seats in their executive architecture, Chief Kingsley Chijioke Nwobilor was inaugurated as the Abia South Zonal Chairman while Mazi Chidiebere Okoro Okafor was inaugurated as the Public secretary of Labour party Abia State
