2027: I’m Still Waiting For God To Speak To Me – Abia Speaker

The Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa says he is still consulting on God before deciding whether to run in the 2027 elections.

Hon. Emeruwa stated this in Aba on Thursday June 19, 2025 during an event he organized to empower and appreciate his constituents.

While interacting with journalists, the speaker said he has not decided yet but hinted that he is waiting for God to speak to him.
When the question was thrown at him, he said, “God will say, I’m still waiting.”

On the relative peace that the 8th Assembly has enjoyed under his watch, the speaker attributed it to the friendly approach his leadership adopted.

“We have tried to understand each other. I’ve also studied the members of the legislature and know how to play with everybody. I don’t boss people. I relate with them, so that’s the magic”.

The event which took place in the main bowels of Aba Town Hall saw a mammoth crowed come to partake in the empowerment programme of Hon. Emeruwa.

The legislator pledged to ensure the House consolidate on their achievements so far to bring more dividends of democracy to all Abians.

Rt. Hon Emmanuel Emeruwa was inaugurated as The Speaker of the 8th Abia Assembly in June 2023.
